Course Description
The aim of this course is to prepare international students for the academic module of the (IELTS) exam - International English Language Testing System. This examination is required for working and studying in the UK. Course contents include General English, Exam Preparation, Cultural Awareness, IT Skills, Presentation Techniques, Study Techniques & Research methods.
Other Information
Examinations are held each month in the Northern Ireland IELTS test centre in Belfast. Applications for the exam can be made through the school and should be made at least 6 weeks before the intended test date. Exam fee information can be obtained from the
admissions office.

This course has been designed to produce a proficient EFL teacher who can assess and address the needs of a particular classroom situation, utilising suitable materials, and evaluating their effectiveness. The course examines different inovative methods and
appraoaches to teaching English.
There are two options of progression in this course:
Step 1: International Certificate 70 hours course
Step 2: TEFL Certificate 100 hours (Incorporates 6hrs teaching & 8hrs of observation) course.
The international course now is regarded as the minimum requirement for gaining employment
both locally and internationally.
Other Information
This is a very intensive course, which has a practical element. Students will be expected to take part in drama workshops, peer-teaching sessions and consent to video-taping so as to have their teaching evaluated and discussed. Students also need to be prepared to spend at least two hours per night on class preparation.

This course is a self study option of the TEFL course. It is also designed to produce a proficient EFL teacher who can assess and address the needs of a particular classroom situation, utilising suitable materials, and evaluating their effectiveness. The individual will work at their own pace, through 18 modules, to achieve the Distance Learning Certificate.
There will be regular contact via telephone, e-mail and fax by a designated tutor. After the 18 modules have been complete the individual can complete 6 hours teaching and 8 hours of observation to be awarded the full ATT TEFL Course.

The tutor is on hand throughout the course to guide the individual through the different modules.
This is a flexible learning course suitable for individuals with different work or home commitments.

Course Description
This programme is an action packed two week activity break for teenagers. The course combines English classes each morning with outdoor pursuit activities in the afternoons.There are social and cultural events in the evenings and full day excursions on Saturdays. The programme runs in the beautiful Donegal countryside in a special outdoor pursuits centre.
Activities include: sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, orienteering, abseiling, surfing and pierjumping.
Social events also include: Irish ceili dancing, talent competitions, team games and
quizzes, story-telling, as well as themed parties and discos. The Saturday excursions include
trips to The Giant's Causeway and Antrim Coast, Glenveagh National Park or Belfast.
